Alcoholics Anonymous – Information for Professionals

9.30am - Join us for some refreshments and networking. There will be literature available to take away and members available to discuss any questions.
10.00am - There will be a presentation about the free services that A.A offers to professionals and how these are already working successfully.
10.30am - You will have a unique opportunity to observe an AA meeting. This will be a live demonstration meeting run as it would normally be held at any group. The participants will all be A.A members who have agreed to their meeting being open to observation. There will be a Q&A with the delegates.
11.30am - Members will be available to talk with individuals about our key service areas, Health & Social Care, Criminal Justice Education and Young People.
Who should attend?
Anyone interested to know more about A.A, how it works and how we can support Professionals Those who come into contact with problem drinkers or those studying in a field where they may encounter people with alcohol related issues and anyone managing an employee support function.

A.A in the UK has more than 60 years of experience involving thousands of alcoholics therefore has first hand experience with all kinds of problem drinkers in all phases of active alcoholism and recovery. This personal subjective experience of alcoholism is something only an alcoholic can share with another alcoholic. This is why our service is totally confidential and our membership remains anonymous
