On Wednesday 7th December Iriss is hosting a Forum: Debates for student and NQ social workers
Being a social worker is both a rewarding and challenging job. How do you stay safe, motivated, resilient, informed and heard?
We invite student and newly qualified social workers to the Forum to debate what matters to YOU and to identify what we can do together. It will be held on Wednesday, 7th December (6.30-8.30pm) at the Scottish Youth Theatre in Glasgow.
This free event will offer discussion, peer support and sustenance! (Pizza and coffee will be available from 6.30pm). Attendees will get the opportunity to share their experiences in a safe and honest space independent of local authority and university. It will support:
- Reconnecting and maintaining links with former students and friends from year groups
- Meeting and learning from those who went into practice the year before
- Pooling collective knowledge, ideas and energies to identify: What keeps us strong; What supports our learning? What more can we do to support each other?Book your place
