Election of trustees

ScOPT is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Scottish Charity Number SC046818). We are governed by a small group of volunteers who form our Board of Trustees. The Trustees are very active on behalf of the membership - attending meetings, taking part in consultation events, promoting the work of ScOPT, supporting members... and much more. The current trustees are

  • Jon Bolton
  • Deirdre Fitzpatrick
  • Avril McIvor (joined as a trustee on 23 January 2018)
  • Gillian Muir
  • Gail Murphy
  • Kirstin Parkes (joined as a trustee on 26 April 2018)
  • Fiona Stansfield

All are eligible for re-election and have confirmed their intent to stand as Trustees.

  • Moira Dunworth resigned as a trustee on 2 June 2018.
  • Moira Harris resigned as a trustee on 12 June 2018.

Nominations of people willing to act as trustees - including self-nominations - can be accepted at any time. Trustees must be eligible to act as a trustee under the terms set out in The Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005. The maximum number of charity trustees that ScOPT can have is 15.
